What ingredients do you use in your candles?

Our candles are made with 100% pure soy wax that is grown and manufactured in the USA. We do not use any additives, and our candles are made with premium, phthalate-free fragrance and essential oils.

Can you help me with candle care?

Yes, of course! Always remember to trim your wick before each use, let your candle burn for at least 2 hours (but no longer than 4 hours at a time), and do not burn your candle once there is only 1/4" of wax left in the jar.

Where do you ship to and how much does it cost for shipping?

Currently, we only ship domestically within the United States. We charge a flat rate of $7, but all orders of $75 or more ship free! Check out our shipping page to learn more!

I bought a candle that has too strong / too light of a scent throw when I burn it. What should I do?

First, we want to apologize if you aren't fully satisfied with your purchase. We want you to love your candle and if the answer to this question doesn't help with that, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at hello@littlewhiteshed.com

We've had numerous testers burn our candles and give us their feedback on the scent itself as well as the scent throw strength. With that information, we've designated each of our candles to have either a 'light to moderate' or 'moderate to strong' scent throw. This is just a guide, and we understand that each person who burns our candles will perceive the fragrance strength differently. However, we've tried our hardest to provide an accurate designation based on our testing.

With that being said, there are other factors to consider such as the size of the room, ventilation, etc. For example, if you're burning one of our candles in a large room, or a room with high ceilings, the scent may not be as strong as it would be if you were burning that same candle in a smaller room, such as a bedroom.

So, here's our advice!

1. Start with our scent designations. You can find the scent throw strength of each candle under the 'Product Info' section on each product page. That way, you'll have a better idea as to whether the candle you've purchased has a lighter or stronger scent.

2. Move your candles around. Try out your candle in different spaces (i.e. living room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, etc.) to see which space provides you with your desired level of fragrance.

3. Layer your candles. If you really like one of our candles with a 'light to moderate' scent throw, but want a stronger level of fragrance (or.... if you're burning one of our candles with a 'moderate to strong' scent throw and just really like a strong fragrance), try burning more than one candle in different spots of your space to build the level of fragrance to your liking.
